Goshainkunda is North of Kathmandu valley lies on Langtang Region.. Nestled at the foot of these Himalayan ranges is a beautiful, secluded, valley filled with natures bounty - the Langtang National Park. Here the rare red pandas lurk in dense lichen-draped rhododendron thickets, hears of blue sheep graze the alpine meadows and glaciated valleys amidst a scenery of lofty Himalayan peaks.

This magnificent trek combines the beauty of mountain sceneries and the pleasure of meeting the Tamang and Sherpas people, whose kindness and hospitality is well renowned. This itinerary, through pine, oak and rhododendron forests, is less frequented than others, and will appeal to mountain lovers who want to get off the beaten track. The 8-day trek passes by the sacred lakes at Gosaikunda and the Lauribinayak pass (4610m). Trek down to Dhunche (gateway of Langtang Trek) and drive back to Kathmandu.

Days 01: Kathmandu Arrival
Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport , you will be met by our Airport Representative, and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free and visiting local market. Overnight at hotel. B.B.

Days 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing
Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square). Overnight at hotel. B.B.

Days 03: Drive Kathmandu to Shybrubenshi Approx. 10hrs.
Morning around 7:00 am drive to Shyabrubenshi 1460m. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.

Days 04: Trek Shyabrubenshi to Lama Hotel
Shyabrubenshi trek to Lama Hotel 2340m. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.

Day 05: Trek Lama Hotel to Langtang Village
Having lunch at Lama Hotel, we trek to Langtang village (3430m.) via Ghore Tabela (3000m.) which takes about six hours. We would find some grazing grounds of Yak on the way. The local people bring their livestock for grazing in the high pastures during the summer months. We find a monastery before reaching Langtang Village. We pay our short visit to the monastery and arrive at our destination.

Day 06: Trek Langtang Village to Kyangjin Gompa
It is our turn to trek from Langtang Village to Kyangjin (3870m.). It takes about three hours to reach there. Our trail climbs gradually through small villages and yak pastures as the valley opens further and the views become more extensive. Kyangjin Gompa is reached after crossing several small streams and moraines. We would visit the cheese factory at Kyangjin Gompa. We would enjoy the panoramic view of Dorje Lakpa (6990m.), Langtang Ri (6370m.), Langtang Lirung (7245m.) and many more.

Day 07: Rest day Kyangjin Gompa
We would acclimatize at Kyangjin Gompa and go for excursion to utilize our time. We would visit the monastery and the cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice falls and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350m).

Day 08: Trek Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel
Trek from Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel. From Kyangjin, we retrace our route following the Langtang Khola to Langtang village and on to Ghora Tabela. Having lunch at Ghora Tabela, we trek steep descent to Lama Hotel.

Day 09: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru
We trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2260m.). The beginning of the trek is gently descending till Pairo and then goes steep up to Thulo Syabru. En route, one could see red pandas, monkey and various species of birds.

Day 10: Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa
It is our turn to trek from Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa (3330m.). Our trail from Thulo Syabru goes to Foprang Danda (3200m.) passing through Dursagang (2660m.). We would be lucky enough to view Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan Mountain and forests of Oak, Hemlock and Firs. After a while, we reach Sing Gompa. We would find a well-managed local cheese factory and a Buddhist Monastery at Sing Gompa too.

Day 11: Sing Gompa to- Gosaikunda
We trek from Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda (4460m.) via Lauribinayak La (3920m.). We would follow a rugged trail with dramatic views of Himal Chuli (7893m.,) Manaslu (8156m,) and Ganesh Himal (7406m.). On a clear day, even the Annapurna range can be seen rising up gently behind. To the north, we would see Langtang Lirung. At Gosainkunda, we would see a dozen of lakes. Among them, the major three are Saraswatikund, Bhairab Kunda and Gosainkunda. According to a legend, Gosainkunda was created by Shiva when he pierced a glacier with his trident to obtain water to quench his thirst after having swallowed poison.

Day 12: Trek Gosainkunda to Sing Gompa
We trek from Gosainkunda to Sing Gompa (3250m.). Our trail descends all the way to Sing Gompa passing Lauribinayak. We would have magnificent mountain views along the trail. We would walk through the jungles while going to Singh Gompa.

Day 13: Trek Sing Gompa to Dhunche
We trek from Sing Gompa to Dhunche which takes about six hours. The first part of the trail descends through pine, silver oak and rhododendron forests with marijuana plants up to suspension bridge over the Sing Gompa Stream. From this point, our path goes even through some human settlements and reaches Dhunche, the headquarters of Rasuwa district.

Day 14: Drive Dhunche to Kathmandu
We drive back to Kathmandu from Dhunche. It is interesting to penetrate into the rural settlements on the way back to Kathmandu. . Overnight at hotel.

Day 15: Mountain flight and Final Departure
Early morning drive to domestic airport for Mountain/Everest flight. Everest flight is about one hour flight to view the mountains in Everest Region. After mountain flight transfer to International Airport for your final departure.
